She is also a certified Adult and Family Nurse Practitioner, a certified Critical Care Nurse, and an Advance Life Support Instructor. She started Hurst Review services in 1988, aimed at educating and preparing nursing students for certification tests and careers as nurses or other health-related professions. Marlene keeps her content and program current by researching new tools and techniques, updates her lecture materials, and gathers first-hand nursing knowledge through clinical experience.
