(5 stars) Gregory P - Excellent documented book about the day that the Western North Carolina mountains changed forever. (5 stars) Elisha M - It beautifully captures what so many of us experienced, the shock, the loss, and the incredible ways neighbors came together when everything else fell apart. (5 stars) Torri - Great book about Hurricane Helene. Large print with lots of pictures. (5 stars) Chris B - This is an amazing but bittersweet book about our beautiful mountains and the catastrophic devastation that fell on us from Helene. The stories from survivors are heart-wrenching but powerful. (5 stars) Shari I - This is the story of an investigator with a flashlight and a quill and the desire to document survivors' tales, as they were unfolding all around us, after the storm. (5 stars)
