Overview

Humberto Spindola proposes to intervene the architecture of Luis Barragán with his work of installations in Chinese paper. This is intended to recover the dialogue between the painter Chucho Reyes Ferreira, who gave the color palette to the work of Luis Barragán, and the architecture of Barragan. The author argues that this dialogue, which resulted in color in the Barraganian architecture, was based on the use of the paper of china (tissue paper, papier de soie) material in which master Chucho Reyes painted his extensive work. Spíndola has approached the role of china with an unusual work that is based on the traditional Mexican techniques of paper works: paper and pinateria but approaching them to the world of art through noble materials, acid free and pigments of the More recent generations.
