'Humans and Nature' is exactly what is says: an exploration through the magical countryside and into the deeper humans emotions I have found myself having to face in this last year and - like everyone else - through lockdown. I do not hesitate in saying that if it was not for the pandemic, I would not have a career. As mercenary as that may sound - as easy as it to say as someone who never lost anyone to that terrible illness - it was the confinement that taught me how much I love acting and gave me the time to reinvent myself as a poet. Likewise, if I had not lost a close relative less than a year ago, this book could not have been written. It's not all so heavy and there as some gorgeous portrayals of nature I'd love you to peruse. Nature and meditation has saved me in this time. They have been my guiding star, blazing a million colours in the darkness. I wrote this book because I had to: I needed to pour my emotions out onto the page. But now that it is completed and I edited, I hope that you, the reader, will find what I have found in re-exploring these poems. A message of comfort: you are not alone; and a message of hope: nature is constant and beautiful; nature never gives up; you are beautiful and you need never give up!
