Prior to entering consultancy he spent over 20 years as engineer and manager in the Aerospace and Defence sectors, with commissioned service in the Royal Air Force and posts in industry. He has published and presented numerous human factors and safety papers and has contributed to books on the subject. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Registered Member of the Ergonomics Society. Roger S. Harvey is a Psychologist at QinetiQ Centre for Human Sciences, and has some 30 years Human Factors research and development experience. His main specialisms are project support and assessment, human-computer interface (HCI) design and evaluation, and the application of the UK Human Factors Integration/Systems Engineering initiative for equipment acquisition. In addition he previously served in the Intelligence Corps as a NATO-trained Imagery Analyst. He is a former Chairman of the Council of the Ergonomics Society.
