Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationGary Crawford is a professor of Anthropology at the University of Toronto in Mississauga, where he has been based since 1979. He is also a research associate that the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto. Dr. Crawford received his doctorate in anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has published and lectured on archaeology and paleoenthnobotany of Japan, China, Korea, the Great Lakes region, and Kentucky. Dr. Crawford also co-authored the Canadian supplement Canadian Perspectives on Archaeology and Biological Anthropology. Among his professional memberships are affiliations with the Society for American Archaeology, the Society for Economic Botany, and the Society for Archaeological Sciences. Introductory anthropology has been one of Dr. Crawford's key teaching interests over the years. He has been gratified by the success of many of his students, whole life and career choices have been influenced by their study of anthropology.
