Phyllis Zimbler Miller has a B.A. in Journalism from Michigan State University and an M.B.A. in Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Before getting her M.B.A., she was a newspaper journalist and taught newswriting courses and copyediting courses at Temple University Center City.
