OverviewYour infant must demonstrate readiness for solid foods by roughly 6 months, but no earlier than 4 months. The first foods may be mashed or smooth. Food can then be roughly chopped or mashed. Iron-rich meals should be included in the first meal. Any number of foods can be introduced at once, in any combination.
