Overview

Ever been left speechless by sexism? From classroom to boardroom, social settings to harassment on the street, we've all been there. No more lying awake at night, thinking of the perfect response. How To Stand Up To Sexism delivers comebacks to everything from microaggressions to outright insults and worse, giving you the perfect response at your fingertips every time! Born out of the authors' personal and professional experience, this book delivers truly practical options, going beyond the usual vague suggestions to ""talk to the person"" or ""take the matter up with HR"" that beg the question ""YES, BUT HOW?"" It prepares you to handle sexism effectively wherever you encounter it and will leave you feeling confident and in control. Finally, the answers are here. ""Thank goodness for this book. It's a must-read for anyone who wants attitudes to change."" Victoria Derbyshire, British journalist, newsreader and broadcaster. ""This book will equip you with the tools and talking points you need to stand up for yourself, set boundaries and shake tables. Thank you to Toni and BritMums for such a timely and necessary book."" Uju Asika, blogger and author of Bringing Up Race: How to Raise a Kind Child in a Prejudiced World.

Toni Summers Hargis is an author and columnist. With a law degree and a Masters in Organisation Development under her belt, she spent years working in corporate HR, Training and Organisation Consulting. Always ardent and vocal about women's rights and equality, Toni was termed difficult in many a meeting and strives to continue in that vein, calling out sexist BS at every turn. Jennifer is an award-winning former Times journalist and an active supporter of women's rights through her political and editorial work. Susanna is a former Silicon Valley marketer recognised as a digital pioneer in the UK for championing the power of individual women's influence. @britmums
