Reviews

Excellent introduction to chess! Even if you know the game, this little book is a handy guide for teaching the novice in a simple and organized way. Very highly recommended (Mark, Amazon customer) The book explains all the basic movements of each piece, their drawbacks, etc. How the board is composed-also, several openings and their respective defenses. I also learned more about the mid-game and end-game, which has always been a weakness of mine. This complete guide comes pack with all the essential info for beginners or someone who needs a quick refreshment about chess. I didn't play chess for nearly a decade, and it helped me get back. (Jordan, Amazon customer) I got this for my niece, she developed an interest in chess after watching the Queen's Gambit. I like that the book packs in a lot of information, from the very basics of chess to more advanced strategies. Also, nice that it details the benefits to your mind and has a reference glossary of terms. Feels like a thorough guide for beginners and up. (Alicia, Amazon customer)
