Barbara Lynn Waxman, MS/MPA is an executive and life transition coach, trainer and speaker. She is a gerontologist and has worked in the field of aging over the past 20 years. Barbara founded The Odyssey Group in 2005 to guide others with compassion, honesty and a light heart as they pursue meaningful changes in their life. Barbara lives outside of San Francisco, CA. Bob Mendelson is a 71-year-old retired pediatrician. At age 65 he cut back his practice and dropped the really hard stuff like night call and working weekends. He retired completely at age 70 to be a caregiver for his wife, who developed leukemia and has required two stem-cell transplants. With his wife, he co-authored a book on parenting and contributed a chapter to the American Academy of Pediatrics parenting book. He started preparing for financial retirement in his 30s. Bob plays tennis a lot and golf a little and enjoys his four children and eight grandchildren.
