Overview

Growing tasty, nutritious food crops is a must for anyone with a small unheated greenhouse. My easy-to- follow steps guide the gardener from seed sowing to harvest. I have included my favourite varieties of tomatoes, aubergines, cucumbers, sweet peppers and chilli peppers. In this, the second edition, I have included a chapter on grafted plants and how, where, and why they should be used. The final chapter deals with the most common pests, diseases and disorders likely to be encountered. I hope this book gets across the pleasure and satisfaction to be gained from growing your own delicious food crops.

Author Information

David Haigh has over 50 years gardening experience. He holds The Royal Horticultural Society's 'Master of Horticulture' qualification. Over 40 years of his career were spent in education. During this time he held lecturing posts in Warwickshire, Lesotho, Derbyshire, Cambridgeshire and Cumbria. Since retiring from his final full time post as 'Head of Horticulture' in 2005 David has been a garden writer, a gardens holiday host and delivered practical training courses. He is never happier than when he is getting soil under his finger nails in his own gardener, or on his allotment.
