She is the author of several picture books, including How to Get Rid of a Princess, Hotel For Bees, Growing Pains, Great and Small and Birdie Lights Up the World. Mel Pearce is an award-winning artist from Western Australia. Her first picture book, No! Never!, won the Children’s Book Council of Australia Award for Book of the Year for Early Childhood.
