Dr. Larry A. Maxwell attended Practical Bible Training School (now Davis College) in Johnson City, New York and Lynchburg Baptist College (now Liberty University) in Lynchburg, Virginia, where he majored in Pastoral Studies. He later graduated from the India Theological Seminary in Brahmavar, India, with both a Masters and Doctorate in Biblical Studies. He was ordained to the Gospel Ministry in 1976, by his Pastor, Dr. Jerry Falwell and Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Virginia, where he was a member. He has served as a Church Planter, Youth Pastor, Pastor and was listed as Associate Evangelist, under Dr. John R. Rice with The Sword of the Lord. Dr. Maxwell founded Challenge International in 1981, to help Challenge Others to Greater Service for Christ. He has served as an adviser to Pastors, Church Boards and other organizations. He teaches on both the undergraduate and graduate level. He served as Academic Dean of the Colonial Hills Baptist College and of The India Theological Seminary International Extension. He is a popular conference speaker and award-winning author.
