Help Your Kid Have Fun and Develop Drawing Skills This book was authored by a group called Learning Through Activities, which is exactly what it enables a kid to do. The suggested age range is four through 12. It uses a step-by-step instructional method that appears to be both easy and fun, as the authors promise. The subject matter is drawing, more specifically line drawing, of 50 dinosaurs-Stegosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Titanasaurus, etc. The book is 59 pages long, with a different lesson on each of pages 5-55. A lesson consists of Facts about the dino, its Speed, and geographic Origin and a six-cell matrix showing the progression of a sketch in six steps from bare outline to complete drawing. Reading skill is not essential to do the drawings, as the progression of sketches is self-explanatory. Once a kid gets started, he or she can move through the book at their own pace. Authors suggest that budding artists start with pencil before moving on to pen, colored, sparkly, and so forth. O. Barnack
