Overview

The book, How to Dental Assist gives a broad overview of a day in the life of a dental assistant. Standard professional practices of the dental assistant are addressed, as they are things that the average dentist would expect the applicant and employee to know and do in a dental office or clinic setting. The book helps the reader to identify if they really want to be a Dental Assistant by giving an overview of a typical working day for the assistant. How to Dental Assistant also states what being a Dental Assistant is not to help clarify things for people who may not fully understand what the assistant does. So we enter the office in the morning, on time, with the Dental Assistant and we walk with him or her as they go about getting the office and the treatment room ready for the patient. Next, we collect the patient from Reception and we go through the procedure, identifying the dentist's expectancy. Later, How to Dental Assist takes the Dental Assistant on break and also into the Dental Lab to complete procedures there, correctly. The reader then learns, generally, how to close out a day as a Dental Assistant. With appreciation, we will see the Dental Assistant tomorrow and do it all again.
