Richard S. Granat is an attorney, author, legal educator, and legal industry entrepreneur. He is the co-founder and co-director of the Center for Law Practice Technology at Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida which offers distant learning courses in legal technology to law students and lawyers. He is also the founder and CEO of SmartLegalForms, Inc., a self-help legal information services company, and DirectLaw, Inc., a virtual law firm platform provider to solos and small law firms. In 2009 he was named a Legal Rebel by the American Bar Association Journal; in 2010 he was awarded the ABA Louis M.
