How Rudolph Got His Red Nose

Overview

When trouble comes to the pasture, Rudolph was born in and where he lived with his parents, his mother leads him deep into the woods to a hidden glade with a stream nearby, telling him to stay there, keep hidden and she will return for him when it is safe. His mother did not come back. One night, he is visited by an animal with his grey coat and gold eyes, but the large dog introduces himself. Toby is a Weimar, and he convinces Rudolph to journey with him to safety. The walk to the shelter of Santa's home and stables is long and dark. Will they be able to reach the North Pole where Santa is?

Author Information

Currently living in Tulsa, OK, Ann began writing at the age of 10. She has written poems, plays, novels, and memoirs, as well as children's books. How Rudolph Got His Red Nose is her third children's book. She has a Master's in English Literature and has worked professionally as both a social worker and corporate trainer. She has passionately rescued dogs and cats for 30 years, but Toby was one of her favorite rescues. When she is not working, or writing, or rescuing more dogs, she likes to hang out with her family and ""tests"" her children's stories on her nieces, nephews, great-nephews and nieces, and great-great nieces and nephews. She welcomes readers' comments and/or feedback at AnnMcKinney@Children Stories.com.
