Author Information

Award-winning author Stella Blackstone has written many of Barefoot’s best-selling titles, including the Bear series, the Cleo the Cat series and My Granny Went to Market. Sunny Scribens is a picture book editor and author. She has also written Space Song Rocket Ride for Barefoot Books. She lives with her husband and young daughter, who provided much inspiration for Baby's First Words. Clare Beaton was born in southeast England and spent her childhood in London. She graduated from Hornsey College of Art with first class honors and then spent eight years working at the BBC Television Centre illustrating for various children’s programs. She now works as a freelance illustrator and writer of children’s activity and craft books. Clare lives in London with her partner and three children, Jack, Kate and Tom.
