Author Information

Betty White Jenkins grew up on a farm in southeast Ohio. She was taught the value of hard work and responsibility at an early age. Her life-long dream of becoming a teacher was realized in 1968, and she spent 30 years in the classroom where reading daily to her students was a priority. Margie White McVey is a sister to the author and was a life-long educator. She is a self-taught artist and enjoys drawing and composing poetry about the different seasons of the year.
