Why would you bother to read a book about a tiny creature which is not even visible to the naked eye? Whether you like it or not, it has become a life time partner for the majority of the planet's house dwelling population and its life is intimately linked with ours. Author Information

Dr Connellan is a retired Consultant Respiratory Physician who trained at St Mary's Hospital in London. His 35 years as a doctor provided a wealth of firsthand experience in all aspects of acute general and respiratory medicine. One of his specialist interests was the field of allergy and he investigated and treated a wide range of such cases over a 20 year period. These included allergies to food, drugs, insects and all the common airborne allergens. This has provided the stimulus, in his retirement, to provide short overviews of common allergic conditions without a lot of medical jargon, in simple and hopefully clear terms. He now lives with his wife in New Zealand in order to be closer to his children, grandchildren and extended family.
