Kristian Gustafson served as an officer in the Canadian Army for six years and later earned his doctorate in history at the University of Cambridge. He is now a senior lecturer of war studies at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in England. He lives in Camberley, England, and Edmonton, Canada.
