OverviewThere is no doubt that Romans 1:20 written over 2000 years ago, states that everyone should be able to perceive God's qualities and by default his very existence from the things made. Without additional facts and the benefit of a lot of head-scratching, this can lead a layman like me to latch onto this bottom-line perception and from then on declare that the universe was fine-tuned by a creator who wanted to produce life. It feels right and sounds like a good way of explaining both the physical and living creation. For sure accepting this perception is as easy as 1,2,3. However, what is not so easy is supporting it with sound reasoning and solid facts. This is quite another ball of wax that takes a substantial amount of research time and deep reflection. Therefore if someone asks us why we believe that we can perceive God's qualities and his very existence from the things made, we must be able to respond with sound reasoning and facts and not simply with that is what the bible says. Accordingly, it is for this purpose that we are constructing the House of Intelligent Design which serves as a model to explain the reason for our belief and the hope that goes along with it. We start at the top and sequentially work our way down through the different structures of the house model right down to and including the soil. Each of the different sections or structures of the house contains a critical piece of the thinking process that goes into supporting and defending our choice of this final perception or best explanation for the fine-tuning or design that physicists have discovered in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
