Though recognized for writing a myriad of editorials through the years for local newspapers, Dr. D. Braxtonbrown-Hollingsworth made her professional writing debut composing much-acclaimed friendship greeting cards for Blue Mountain Arts. Her dissertation ""The Correlates and Predictors of Alcohol Use Among Catholic High School Female Adolescents"" was followed by a career focused primarily on grant writing, until a life-changing event led her to embrace writing again as a true friend. Today she continues to write non-fiction and composes poetry as a therapeutic outlet.
