Thirty years, four months, and two days after she said, ""I do,"" Karen DeArmond Gardner left an abusive marriage. Today, she's a trauma advocate for women who have experienced abuse. She also facilitates Mending the Soul, a group that leads survivors through their trauma. She is the founder of AnotherOneFree.com, and owns a private security company in Hurst, Texas, with Tom Gardner, her second husband of ten years.
