With Lou calling out Hootie Hoo , and you helping him as you read, the letters just might come back. Hootie Lou is fun, educational, and interactive. Not only will this book help kids learn their letters, but they will have fun while they learn. A rhyming pattern that is comparable to Dr. Seuss makes the book easy to read, fun to read, and helps with memorization and stimulation. Lou the owl is engaging for children as they will want to shout out and help him find the missing letters. Joey Acker did an excellent job of creating a fun environment that will excite readers when they see the letters hiding in the background. Joey Acker is clearly a professional in the field of children's books. The rhythmic, almost lyrical pattern of Hootie Lou is perfect for young children. The book can be chanted and sung, which is very helpful with memorization and simply making the story more fun and exciting to a young audience. Not only has Acker taken the time to write a fun and educational story that is very developmentally appropriate for the target audience, but he has gone above and beyond to include a Sing-A-Long video and other applicable videos to give his readers that much more fun.
