Author Information

Dr. Shirley Wanzer-Payne is a native of Fowl River, Alabama. She is an adjunct professor for Carver College of Atlanta, Georgia, and Nova Southeastern of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. For thirty-one years, Dr. Payne served the Palm Beach County School System of Florida as a teacher and also as a school Administrator. Dr. Payne received a Master's Degree in Administration, an Educational Specialist in Reading Education, and a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Payne's collaboration efforts for the Home, School and Community have earned her a myriad of leadership opportunities in her community. She believes that a team approach to the education process produces the best outcome for a child's productive citizenry. Dr. Payne is the wife of William Payne, and they are the parents of two daughters and the grandparents of three granddaughters.
