Her unique chord shape method is a wonderful way for developing an internal ear for harmony, while also learning how to read notes, accompany melodies and begin to improvise. Book 1 is focused on the five note C major scale position, C major root chord, and F and G root notes in the left hand, as well as melodies that skip and jump. It covers intervals, note types, rhythm patterns and different time signatures.
