Holistic Leadership: How to Weave Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Principles into Your Organization's DNA

Overview

In these polarized times when the words Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) are often reduced to buzzwords or used as political flashpoints, this book offers a refreshing, clear-eyed examination of what Holistic Leadership entails. Through practical insights and a straightforward, business-minded approach, the authors guide you in building a culture where everyone belongs, fueling meaningful success for the entire organization. This book is a flexible, strategic guide ideal for Executives, HR Professionals, and DEIB Leaders at every level. You'll learn: - Why ""meeting people and organizations where they are"" is the only path forward in today's divided, politically charged climate. - What DEIB is and what it is not. Words matter. The extensive easy-to-use glossary provides clarity for understanding important terminology that is often poorly explained or, worse, misrepresented. . How to move from compliance-based frameworks (like EEO) to human-centered leadership rooted in dignity, safety, and respect. - The three principles of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging (DEIB). - The relationship between laws and societal norms. - What differentiates Equality from Equity and why that difference is fundamental to long-term growth-minded success. - What it means to foster a sustainable Culture of Belonging and how that drives systemic and economic transformation. - How to be a well-informed DEIB advocate, even if this work is not in your job description. Whether you're starting from scratch or looking to deepen your impact on your organization, this book shows you how to build momentum, create motion, and lead all with purpose. Concise and highly accessible, it is designed to be the reference you return to time and again. This is not theory. This is how you do it.

Holistic Leadership does this by not just quoting the obvious of what your desired outcome will be, but more importantly, this book tells you how you get to the desired outcome. Holistic Leadership will be one of the leaders in the development and implementation of concepts and effective tools in the ""how to"" guide for developing effective leadership within the leadership/DEIB space for years to come. - Henry H.
