Author Information

Myrle Ballard is Anishinaabe and a member of Lake St. Martin First Nation. She is a Post Doctoral Fellow, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba and acted as Director of Flood Recovery and Community Planning at Lake St. Martin First Nation from 2011 to 2012. Her research includes work on sustainable livelihoods; flooding/displacement politics; water management, vulnerable/resilient demographics, Indigenous Knowledge Systems, and Indigenous Women and traditional livelihoods. Her publications include articles in the Canadian Journal of Nonprofit and Social Economy Research and The Journal of Aboriginal Economic Development.
