Overview

The full set of 46 glorious prints of Mt Fuji by Japan's most famous artist! This beautiful Japanese-bound volume presents the complete set of prints Thirty-six Views of Fuji, one of the most famous series created by Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849), including ten prints he added to the series at a later date. Mt Fuji is magnificently represented by the master thanks to his highly personal conception that combines the sacred dimensions of the mountain with earthly views representing many different human activities. Each print is accompanied by a technical explanation that helps the reader to understand the image, with descriptions where possible of the actual places depicted.
