Author Information

A native of Acton, Ont., Denis Gibbons was chief researcher-ice hockey for ABC (1988 Olympics, Calgary), CBS (1992, 1994, 1998 Olympics in France, Norway and Japan), NBC (2002, 2010, 2014 Olympics in Salt Lake City, Vancouver and Sochi). Gibbons was one of 14 authors of Kings of the Ice: A History of World Hockey. In 2014 he was named recipient of the Society for International Hockey Research's President's Award for dedication to the preservation of hockey history. He lives in Burlington, Ont., with his wife Chris and their dog Polo....
