OverviewSt. Mark's Anglican Church began as a log church on the First Line in Mono Township in 1837. Founder Seneca Ketchum was a fiery lay missionary and with his wealthy nephew they also built a stone church in 1854 on the site of St. Mark's today on First Avenue in Orangeville. In 2012, St. Mark's celebrated 175 years of dedicated service to the Town of Orangeville and surrounding communities. This is the third book about St. Mark's that captures the exemplary cooperation between clergy and lay people in multiple ministries to young and old alike over the years. It is in this spirit of collegiality, that both clergy and lay have written this history book of their beloved church which the authors hope will both inform and inspire the faithful today and in the years to come.
