These counties were officially created around the 1752 and 1814 but settlers started arriving in the area around the 1740's. Early immigrants were of Swedish, Welch, French, German, English and Scotch-Irish descents. There is much genealogical information to be found interspersed throughout this book. A new Index has been completed for this reprint with approximately 7,000 entries.
