Overview

Introduction I first got interested in writing books one day I was taking my grand daughter, Ashley to School when she told me she hated Black History month. I asked her why? She replied, all they talk about is Slavery, Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King Jr.. I told her to never be ashamed of Slavery of African Americans; they are the only Race that came to the United States is shackles against their own will. The rest is history. Then I continued to tell her why to be proud of her background. Because, if it was not for Slavery Blacks probably would have never been a part of building this great Nation we live in today. After four hundred years of discrimination and oppression. Blacks have evolved into one of the greatest ethnic group in the United States, here are a few accomplishments: President of the United States Representatives in Congress from States with large Black populations. Mayors in most Cities with large Black populations. Police Chiefs in large Cities. Entertainment in all fields. Judges and Lawyers. Sports of all types except Ice Sports. The list can go on and on with other achievement Blacks has made in the United States. The old saying is nothing comes easy. I challenge all Black youths to start reading and thinking of how they can better themselves other than Sports and Entrainment. Just look at the other Races that come from Asia. They have no skills in Sports and Entertainment. They use their brain and study and achieve their jobs in the job market. If they can, so can Blacks youth in this Country. Start using your brain on new ideas and improvement to our Society instead of listening to music, playing play station games, Facebook, tweeting and texting all day. Use your time for other things; like I do, compiling books and creating works of Arts. Start reading some of my books and get inspired to become someone great and successful. Therlee Gipson
