Overview

A rare book on the Maltese Military History during the nineteenth century. Very few documents survive prior to 1815. The book contains illustrations mostly from the personal collection of the author. It also features chromographs of army uniforms by Edward Caruana Dingli. The book gives an insight into the drive of the Maltese in building their own corps for general service at a time when discipline, education and loyalty were very much in need of safeguarding.
