He has also written for other mediums, and his personal life has certainly been a topic for discussion. This historical dictionary is mainly a resource for his work in film, though it touches on his other work and his life. Brigham begins with a 26-page chronology (1935-2018) and a brief introduction. In addition to Allen's films, the dictionary proper includes entries on the players, writers, and other film professionals with whom Allen has worked over the span of his career. A 30-page filmography provides the basic information on each film--year, writer, director, cast, and so on--and an appendix covers the numerous awards that his films have won or been nominated for. The bibliography provides a wide variety of sources, from Allen's published works and interviews to secondary resources on philosophy/religion and psychology/psychoanalysis as well as on film.
