Historic Pictures: Photos of Places in Transition

Overview

Graeme S. Mount's Historic Pictures: Photos of Places in Transition offers a visual narrative of global change over the last fifty years. Using his own photographs, Mount documents the transformations of places like the Panama Canal Zone, Breslau/Wroclaw, Hungary at the end of the Cold War, and Northern Ireland, providing insightful commentary on the physical changes and their impact on the lives of residents. ""The book offers fascinating insight and pictures of various locations and historical events. It's like having a tour guide take you through moments of conflict and change... I couldn't put it down once I started it."" Dr. Jason Zorbas, University of Saskatchewan.
