The photographs are taken from the Historic England Archive, a unique collection of over 12 million photographs, drawings, plans and documents covering England’s archaeology, architecture, social and local history. He has written many previous books on local history for Amberley Publishing which cover the architecture and railways of Liverpool. He has used his expertise to give regular talks on all these subjects including the Liverpool Overhead Railway.
