His Court: From Rebound To Ruins

Overview

Coming from a dysfunctional family background, Allen Prescott is a man who grew to believe that his performance is tied to his self-worth. Like many with similar stories, he's naive to what life is really trying to teach him. He believes that as long as he dominates on the court, keeps every relationship at pawn level, & retains master control, he'll remain untouchable. Life however, has a way of teaching us all that no one is untouchable, it's just a matter of time before you feel it.

Author Information

Author C.D. Doyle was originally an established Spoken word artist Born in Providence, Rhode Island raised in Upstate New York. She used writing as an outlet to help her cope with the complexities of life. It gave her a means to express her thoughts, choices & opinions in their rawest form. No sugar, no bull- Just her unadulterated truth. As a Single-parent, she's gained a wealth of knowledge in both the blessings & curses that come with raising a child alone in a world that never quite knows how to help. With untreated mental health cases on the rise, falling in love with a persona rather than an actual person seems to be more common than ever before. It's no wonder why it's become increasingly difficult for many men & women to even consider alternative perspectives on properly vetting a life partner. Nevertheless, C.D. is committed to this cause. Her desire to give ""the talk"" to warn others ahead of having to go through some of her lived experiences, is what motivated her to write a compelling story about them instead. That story turned into her debut novel. Storytelling for C.D. surged from a deep understanding that most people do not appreciate the taste of medicine, especially when they're sick, so you have to put the medicine into something else to make it palatable. Thus, HIS COURT was birthed.
