Author Information

Joan Gannij began her career as a writer/photographer in America, before moving to Amsterdam, the Netherlands to focus on her writing. She has written a number of travel guides and poetry collections. Clare Beaton has gained international recognition for her distinctive collages: she hand sews her illustrations using felt, vintage fabrics, buttons and sequins — whatever she can find that can be reused and given a new life. She is an award-winning children's writer and illustrator who lives and works in North London, UK.
