This was a good book, particularly for a first effort. It was interesting to read about the trials and tribulations of walking 2600 miles with your wife - would that much close contact make for a stronger marriage, or drive a wedge between them? - Reader review Bored and fed up with life, staring down the 50th birthday they were looking for a change. And they give one big decision, one big adventure to try hiking from Mexico to Canada on the Pacific Crest Trail, just to see what happens. They hike through some of the most stunning and remote places in the country on a trail full of unique, offbeat characters. But the trail had, even more, to offer than either of them had anticipated.
