High-Speed Rail: Spatial and Temporal Transformations in China's Regional Economic Development

Overview

This book meticulously examines the profound and multifaceted impact of high-speed rail(HSR) on China's regional economic development, adopting a distinctive spatio-temporal perspective. It delves deeply into how HSR has served as a catalyst for transformations in the way spatial and temporal perceptions are shaped, redefining the landscape of economic activity. Furthermore, it explores the intricate spatial patterns that have emerged in areas such as industrial agglomeration, tourism, and enterprise entry, all of which have been significantly influenced by the advent of HSR. Additionally, the book meticulously examines the temporal dynamics of these changes, tracing their evolution over time and illuminating the long-term implications for China's economic landscape.
