While researching her grandfather's London childhood and his ""benefactor"" Dr. Thomas Barnardo, Jennifer came across overwhelming evidence showing that as well as being the narcissistic sociopath who sold children to Canada for his own profit, Dr. Barnardo was also the infamous murderer Jack the Ripper. The doctor was a well-known Evangelist preaching fire and brimstone to the unfortunate sinners living in the Whitechapel slums by day who slated his lust and anger on the unfortunates earning their living by night. He was aided in this task by his boyhood friend and fellow Evangelist Sir Robert Anderson, who was leading the criminal investigation into Jack the Ripper for Scotland Yard. Using actual newspaper articles and official documents, this book brings to life not only the deaths and lives of the victims and details of the police investigation, but also the actions, thoughts and feelings of the killer, whose life has been detailed very thoroughly by his many biographers and by his own personal diary. After 137 years, Jack the Ripper has been unmasked - at last.

Jennifer L Watson is a retired elementary school principal living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Honours Psychology, a Master's Degree in Learning Disabilities, and Specialist Certification in Special Education, English as a Second Language and Reading. She has published a reading manual for teachers, a series of leveled books for beginning readers and a journal series on the emigration of her ancestors from Europe to Ontario. Jennifer's grandfather was sent to live in an orphanage known as Barnardo's Homes when his London slum family was too poor to keep him. He was later joined in the orphanage by his younger brother and sister. All three children were sent to Canada to work as indentured servants (slaves) on Canadian farms. They were required to do the work of adults but were never paid. Dr. Barnardo was paid for every child he sent to Canada. He died a rich man. The children were often mistreated, raped, or even murdered. There is a grave in Toronto for 75 unnamed Barnardo's children. Jennifer's grandfather was one of the lucky ones who survived.
