A beautiful story about family, friendship and music. Hidden song is a heart warming adventure about a 12 year old girl called Grace and her friends Charlie, Ben, Henry, Molly and Sam. The story is set in a small seaside town with a school at its centre. After witnessing an incident Grace is very upset and runs to her Papa's house to hide and recover. As the story unfolds Grace discovers a passion for music that she had forgotten. Her Papa (Great Grandfather) encourages Grace to write a song and this rekindles a memory in her that she'd forgotten. Grace and her friends uncover the musical history of the school and in doing so Grace's own family secrets are revealed. Grace's Uncle Jack is a touring musician and comes to visit. He helps them start up a band and bring music back to the school. It isn't long before the discovered hidden melody begins to change everything. The allegory that weaves its way throughout the story will engage an inquisitive reader to ask further questions once the book is finished.
