William J. Palmer is Professor of English Emeritus of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Besides his academic books of literary criticism and film studies, he has published seven novels: four in his Mr. Dickens series of Victorian murder mysteries and three novels set in Indiana at the end of the twentieth century that comprise his The Wabash Trilogy
