"Although I waited until of was 58 to start to oil paint, I had always had a desire to try my hand at oil painting but life always got in the way. At 58, I certainly qualified as an adult senior student and wrote this book as a ""How To"" guide for all the other ""Want To Be"" painters who are searching for a beginning path to oil painting. The book documents my experiences from my very first art class and my very first painting to my development as an experienced painter. I have included a pictorial history of my artistic development with photos of many of my finished paintings. This purpose of this book is to help people who have had no previous art training successful transition into the world of painting get into oil painting. Oil painting is creative, stress reducing and life enriching but most of all, it's fun!"
