Overview

The Brotherhood of the Path, a tight-knit and determined group of five players, finds themselves in one of Waldyra's secret corners. And they find game's rules and laws to be entirely different here in the Forgotten Lands. This is the domain of old-school hardcore eventually deemed too brutal and challenging for ordinary players and replaced with a more forgiving system. Its denizens are exiled monsters and creatures that didn't fit into the bright and cheerful Waldyra. These lands are ruled by the near-omnipotent yet just Akmere, who had once contributed greatly to Waldyra but had long been locked away in the dark and grim Forgotten Lands, rejected by the new world. This is where the Path begins--a journey leading our heroes through many strange and dangerous places towards Orbit Crystaliano's ultimate goal, which he is desperate to reach no matter what. Rosgard, Doc, Braver, and Bom are ready to overcome any obstacle and tackle any foe daring to stand against the Brotherhood of the Path, no matter how strong. They're doing this for a friend, after all. And so their journey through the Forgotten Lands continues . . .

Dem Mikhailov was born on November 23, 1979, in the city of Zarafshan (the Republic of Uzbekistan). His natural aptitude for science and technology decided his initial career choice, prompting him to enter the local industrial college. Upon graduation, he worked in the mining industry specializing in separation and beneficiation of metals. Still, he didn't find much joy in the admittedly boring job. Fed up with the daily grind, Dem finally decided to radically change his lifestyle and moved to Turkey, where he spent the next twelve years working in the leisure industry, rising through the ranks from a regular entertainer to an animation team manager. Although leisure-time animation is admittedly a vocation for the young, it allowed Dem to mix with all kinds of people and later use his knowledge of human types and characters in his books. In 2012, Dem Mikhailov returned to his home town, which marked the beginning of his stellar writing career. He's rightly considered one of the founding fathers of LitRPG, and his legendary saga The Sleepless Ones (The World of Waldyra) became one of the cult LitRPG series serving as an inspiration for such bestselling LitRPG authors as Vasily Mahanenko, Dan Sugralinov, and Michael Atamanov. From a young age, Matt Weisgerber had a passion for using his voice to create characters and entertain those around him. He built on these skills, obtaining his bachelor's degree with a double major in psychology and music from the University of Lethbridge. Now, he has transformed his passion for performance into a career in audiobook narration. Matt has narrated audiobooks in various genres. His vocal style is bright, warm, and conversational, and falls naturally within the YA and children's genres. When he's not narrating, Matt can be found volunteering on a crisis line, and spending way too much on retro video game collectibles.
