Overview

Aaron and his twin brother Aton had the perfect life--aside from the fact that the brothers had to hide that they were werewolves, lest the townsfolk come to their door with torches and pitchforks. Add to that they'd just discovered that Aton possessed strength and speed far beyond what he should and Aaron could cast magic, which would also be a mark against him in the town's eyes. Still, it was a good life, if a bit isolated, until one fatal moment that sent everything crashing down around them. Now, in the wake of this devastating loss, the twins learn that Seers have been predicting things about their futures long before either of them was even born. Armed only with their new gifts the brothers are told they must trek halfway across the world to save an entire city full of people from an impending catastrophe. Traveling towards their pre-ordained destiny, Aaron and Aton must work together to traverse the treacherous terrain full of monsters in the dark and come to terms with the strengths and limitations of their werewolf nature and unique abilities. Only, over the years, and the closer they get to their ultimate goal, the more Aaron begins to think they may not succeed in their calling. With all they've already lost, how much more are they willing to give? Will the combined strength of Aaron's fledgling sorcery and Aton's new warrior training be enough to stop the coming darkness or will they both fall in the struggle against the malignant force? Though it's hard to think about the future when gods and dragons start getting involved.
