Dr. Marzouk has more than 25 years of experience in the Civil Engineering. His experience covers different phases of projects including design, construction, monitoring, research, consulting, and project management. He also served as a consultant for many mega-construction projects in Egypt. Dr. Marzouk is acting as a Chair for Egyptian Code of Building Information Modeling. Dr. Marzouk authored and co-authored over 300 scientific publications. He is recognized and named among the top 2% of the world’s most impactful scientists by Stanford University and Elsevier for three successive years 2020, 2021, and 2022. Dr. Marzouk supervised close to 120 graduate students including 31 at the PhD level. He has acted as a Principle Investigator (PI) for eight research grants. His research interests include sustainable civil and resilient infrastructure, sustainability and green buildings, computer simulation, optimization, integrated project delivery exploring related technology including building information modeling (BIM), 3D laser scanning, virtual/augment reality, digital twins, and artificial intelligence. Dr. Marzouk has been involved in several academic and scientific committees. He has been awarded several excellence awards and scholarships.
